Home | | Sports officials for the past 12 years. GSOA was founded in 1996 by Johnny Arredondo and Greg Powell. We train and provide referees for Basketball, Volleyball, 6 Man Middle School Football and Soccer. The Lord has blessed us these past 12 years. We strive to put out well trained officials that will do the best they can to perform at the highest level. Greg is currently living in Germany with his wife Ivy (she is stationed there) and their children. They are also doing missionary work by providing for the homeless and less fortunate. Greg is assigning referees for several sports and is assigning the European's High School Championship there from Feb 20 - 23, 2008. Greg has graciously extended an invitation to me and I have accepted so I will be in Germany from Feb 19 thru Feb 27. Please keep me in prayer as I go there and visit some sites. |

TCAL - 1A STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS - Vanguard Christian Institute from Boerne, Texas | [ | Congratulations to Vanguard Christian Institute for winning the TCAL 1A State Title. They beat Houston Central Christian 67-52 on Saturday March 8, 2008. They trailed by 2 at halftime and had 3 starters foul out of the game. Greg Parker has done a great job at VG and is deserving of this huge task. I've known Greg Parker to be of high character and I am very happy for him, his team, school and fans. Great job Greg. |
| As the basketball season is coming to an end we have received 2 tune-up matches, 3 playoff games and 2 Area playoff games. Our members have received the following assignments thru us or other association they work with. Roland Vara has received several playoff matches and has been chosen to be in a State UIL Regional game, Oscar Garcia, Paul Newton, Pete Olivares and Aaron Filsinger several area playoff games. Congrads to these very honorable good men. |
